Team Finder is a simple website aimed at taking the hassle out of organising games of football (or any other sport). Instead of ringing around and emailing mates you can setup a game on the website, add players to the game, then let the website send out notification emails. Your friends can then go online, tick their name and see who else is coming along. That's it really!
The quickest way to learn how Team Finder works is to watch the demo video, but essentially it works like this :
Once a game is setup and players have been added, your game will have unique address (known as the Game URL). Your friends can visit this address at any time to indicate if they are playing (this is a simple process of ticking yes or no). All players can see who else is playing and share messages with each other.
In the Dashboard you can send out email invites of the game to all players (or let the website do it for you automatically).
Team Finder was created and is maintained by Phil Lindsay. I created the early prototype of the website in 2008 to help organise a regular game of football I took part in. The prototype worked so well I decided to spend a bit more time working on it, and, in June 2009, reached the stage where others could sign up and use it too. I also run a web design company in Newcastle called Presence Multimedia.
